More network trouble

I still can't get my 2 computers to get networked.

This is what I am doing at the moment (probably wrong):



When I try to install the Wireless Access Point it says: "The Setup Network was unable to locate your network. Please make sure the Access Point is powered on and and cables are properly connected"

Could there be a possible clash with the modem and router?

I guess your modem is USB, you linked the sites wrong :/

dont see why there would be a clash, all the lights on the modem light up apart from "Diag"

edit: oh yeah, when i try to ping the computers i get "Request timed out."
