  • Changing Resolution.

    Hi,

I am currently wondering what I can do to change my resolution to 1280x1024 (max on Trench Wars). I was eh 1180x1024 or something before (the one above it).
I first went to the advance options, and clicked "show default resolution" and then I got a long list of different resolutions available. I clicked 1280x1024 from the previous 1180x1024.... but I didnt notice any different at all... was wondering is there a problem with it or is the change too small to be "noticible"...

EDIT: Using full screen not windowed. :P

It is only a small difference, but there is a difference. If you alternate between the two resolutions, you'll notice the smaller resolution appears thinner, for obvious reasons.

You can't play any higher than 800x600 in windowed mode anyway.

If your videocard doesn't support 1280x1024 then that is the kind of behavior you would expect... you could try updating your videocard drivers.

Also, I am pretty sure 1180x1024 isn't a valid resolution, but if it is, then yeah, you wouldn't notice much of a difference between 1280x1024.

sorry is actually 1024x768x8.... and I changed it to: 1280x1024x8.
No difference for me -_-; Btw, how do you check if my videocard supports the resolution?!;....

On a side note, when you try higher resolutions on certain video cards, your screen may go blank with an "out of range message". If/when this happens you have to change your refresh rate in your Advanced Display options.

Lies, I play 1280x1024 windowed and it's definitely larger than 1024x768 fullscreen.

The display adapter almost certainly supports that resolution, but the monitor might not.
