Continuum resolution problem

Lo folks. I just started at university - I was expecting their firewall to block the game entirely, as happens at some unis do, but I can get in fine. Unfortunately, a new problem has cropped up.

For some reason, I'm now stuck at 640x480 res. Both my profile and the menu bar have the resolution set to 1024x768, full screen (and there's no read-only attribute on the files) but to no avail - as soon as the game loads, it's back to low-res. Anyone have any suggestions?

were you playing it on this resolution on the same computer before? or does the computer belong to the school? and um... what happens if you do it in windowed mode? and when you exit continuum does the resolution set itself to 640 x 480 when you look at it in your menu?

i have no idea if your answering any of these questions is going to help anything but you never know i guess

It's my own computer. When I last played a few months ago, it was in the top resolution. No change in windowed mode. It's still set to 1024x768 after I quit the game.

i think i read about something similar to this problem before... something to do with directx and continuum or something. try downloading the newest directx and the newest display drivers. if that doesnt work theres something called ssresforcer which is supposed to fix it but i have no idea where to get it from seeing as subspacedownloads is broken... maybe someone else thats reading this thread could help you get it.

Check on your Resoultion menu make sure its set to your proper Resolution.
