Lag problems.

Allready went threw the process with dock, but not sure how long it iwll be before he gets back to me, so ill post here.

For the last 3 months I have had some bad lag. I would hit 30k MS average, and 80k MS spikes, for aobut a minute, once every 10 minutes.

EVeryone would slow down, and stop shooting, then bam, everyone went fast-forward and suddenly i would blow up.

Right now im stuck with around 20% ploss.


Using DSL, on a network, but i have the hard connection.

Using Win2k

have tried reformatting, reseting modem/router, rebooting, all of that.

(I was told stabwound would know what to do :P )

You wanna contact your internet provider ? I believe all of em have a tech. support hotline... (1-800 #)

My ISP is our phone company, they dont know shit.

You got banned for attempting to play with this problem, weather you intentionally manipulated your lag or not. If your ISP can not help you then I would change over to broadband service or even a more reputable dialup company.

Roggan, you live in the US.
For me (Canada), my internet service provider is also my phone company (Bell Canada) they provide both tv/internet/phone services.... I would call them for help... switch to another cable company if you can. Possibily Comcast or something? Dont know much US ISP...

Same thing here Acid, our Internet also comes from our Phone company.

I dont pay our phone/internet bill therefor i have no say in any of it.

Download, install, run ADAWARE SE - found at www.lavasoftUSA.com

once the scan is done... right click and "Select all objects" then click next.

this will get rid of MOST of the spyware in your computer

Its not spyware.

Forgot to mention that i did a total whipe of C: drive, and after that it still wasnt fixed.

Its not that hard to reformat. Took me a half an hour to do the full format.
