Signature limits

Don't know where to stick this so this'll have to do.

When did the signature limits change because i can't edit my signature now without having it shrink by almost half in size.
The limit is 300 characters, mine is at 540 ... it's 288 even after deleting all the bbcode tags =/


And umm if it wasn't changed.. how did i get around it in the first place so i can do it again? :P

I had no idea that there was any type of sig length limit, but there apparently is.

Any text at all in your sig counts towards the limit.

Anyway the whole reason i even brought it up in the first place is because i actually went and read the forum rules for the first time, and realised that my sig is illegal because i have size 5 in it and not size 4 :P ... And now i can't change it without deleting half of my sig <_<

Easy, the limit was obviously put in sometime after you made your really long signature. You can either keep the one you have now forever, or change it and make it a lot smaller.

But i'm sure i remember having to fiddle around with the length of my signature a few itmes to keep it under limit...
I want the limits changed back =/
