  • I've done something stupid again!

Okay, I changed the IP address of my router without writing it down. Can I find it out again because I need to log into the admin panel. Regards,

No idea, try Start->Run and enter ipconfig

Maybe one of the right addresses will pop up there

If you can connect to it still, running ipconfig like Nockm suggested will work. The ip of the router should be at the bottom in the part that says "Default Gateway".

        Just "google" for it
There are some websites who can show your IP
I don't know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal...

That wouldn't show your router's IP...

It would, just not the LAN IP. :P

Well he was obviously talking about the LAN (internal) IP.

                    Code:
                    Microsoft Windows 2000 [Version 5.00.2195]
                    (C) Copyright 1985-2000 Microsoft Corp.

                    C:\>ipconfig

                    Windows 2000 IP Configuration

                    Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:

                            Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : lan
                            IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.2.6
                            Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
                            Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1
Yeah the Default Gateway address is the same address as my router address, so maybe it'll be like that for yours.

Simpler than that it turned out, I simply clicked on the wireless icon in XP and since I was connected it showed me the router IP lol
