After alt tabing to windows then back to ss my graphics get all screwy. Sometimes closing a few programs fixes it or rebooting. My video drivers are all up to date and that fixed it for a day or two but now the problems back again. Screenshot of problem

I have that problem on and off......... depending on the time of day for me...... and how close I get to winning a game like elim...... argh!@ but it has some thing to do with another program working in the background, I have 2 monitors so I can see stuff happening like some one coming on trillian or some a virus scan starting up."Bilbo" SS is a sophisticated chat channel, nothing more.

Actually based on that screen shot I think you ate the infared vision green. Lets you read thermal signatures of enemy ships.truth about vets vs noobs [clickable]
.
"...can we pretend I lag and you eat my burst?"

Guy: What does that SS mean on your car?
Me: Oh, it's the Subspace model. You know, bigger engine, level 3 bombs...

When stuff changes on the desktop, and a few other events I have yet to uncover, your colors might invert. If alt-tab doesn't work for you, try going to your process viewer and shut down the process named cisvc.exe, that usually does it for me.
cisvc.exe is a windows-file for some kind of memory-indexing (don't ask, I don't know), and is loaded through registry. It has never caused me any noticable harm to shut it down, and as you shut it down, another process will follow, cidaemon.exe, the program which cisvc.exe allegedly monitors.

cisvc.exe is an essential windows process, don't shut it down. Follow the info here: http://forums.trenchwars.org/showpos...53&postcount=2 and if that doesn't work try updating your video drivers.
