There used to be a "Trick" for Mozilla Firefox somewhere (posted), to make it go a lot faster, but I can't find it, does somebody know where it is?

          just for you

Firefox isn't that fast in loading webpages. With this tweak you can speed up firefox.

1.) Open Firefox and type about:config

2.) Go to network.http.pipelining and change the value by doubleclicking.

3.) Then find the key network.http.proxy.pipelining . Double click and set the value "True"

4.) Then go to network.http.pipelining.maxrequests. Double click it and fill in: 30

As last you create a new key, click anywhere, right mouse click. and go to New >> Integer.

Now you created a new key . Double click and fill in: nglayout.initialpaint.delay. A pop-up will open. Fill in the number: 0.

6.) Restart firefox and you will notice a big speed change.

Or you could use FireTune for an automated tweak.

I've used that tweak, and it fucks your images up occasionally. Not worth it at all.

I think that's a problem of your own, I've never encountered such problems and I've been using the tweak for some time now.

Someone posted this fix in TW general discussion a few months ago. Since then a lot of people using it have found images loading incorrectly, especially on this forum. It didn't greatly effect my use of firefox and I could change it back easily.

                            User feedback:

I tried this trick and I think that it won't make a BIG difference.. You win prolly 0.3 seconds.. And if there have been some kind of problems with loading images, who needs it :P?

Even with optimizations, firefox is still a lot slower than Opera. $
