For all you linux users, here is some software you might want to try. It seems you would be able to run Continuum on Linux.

I havent tried it yet because I need to decide what distro to use. It's 5 dollars a month, or free if you use CVS version.

    Has anyone tried it?

Cedega is based on wine. AFAIK, they've basically added some DirectX stuff in it and then tweaked it to work with the most popular games. (Apparently it doesn't work too good in general, because they have to add the games one by one, tweaking the system for each game.)

Continuum does not run on wine, it's been tried. Now I'm sorry if I can't give you the exact technical explanation because I don't exactly know how VxDs work, but when I try to run Continuum on wine it complains about some VxD stuff. And:

This would lead me to believe that Continuum does not run on Cedega and a little searching around brings me to:

However, don't get depressed just yet. You actually CAN run Continuum on Linux. There's this program called VMware that is used to emulate whole computer. You need to install Windows on a virtual computer so you need the Windows CD. However, as it emulates running windows, it's a LOT slower than running Windows all by itself so even Continuum might be too heavy. Some people have been playing in Linux though, first one I can think of is lnx.

I'd love to see a Linux port of Continuum, but afaik the problem is that PriitK doesn't want to give the source even though there are lots of people willing to do the port itself. I think the biggest problem is the packet encryption. He does have a point though, Continuum source getting released would be a happy day for cheaters.
