  • How to burn this?

Hi, I just downloaded a program and I want to burn it on a ced but there is no .iso or .cue file or something.
The only thing I have are 33 files (eg. tda-app1.001), one file called tda-app1.nfo and one file called tda-app1f.sfv

I think I need to do something with the last one, not sure though...

    Any help?

    Ty!
I don't know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal...

    Download Winrar at http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm

Those .001, .002 files are actually compressed.

When you install Winrar, open the .001 file and press extract. It will extract to an ISO most likely.

you need a program like sfvchecker first tho, or then just try renaming the .sfv file to a .rar file

SFV is a checking system that some stupid people use to make sure that the file hasn't been corrupted during the downloading.

edit: and then after renaming, extract starting from the .rar file, not the .001 like stab says.
If it doesn't work, just rename it back to .sfv and download sfvchecker from somewhere.

For one thing, you cannot rename a .sfv file to .rar; that will not work and will just cause errors. For another thing, when it is compressed into .001, .002 format, there is no .rar file. With recent versions of Winrar you can start extracting from ANY of the files and it will do it correctly.

wicked, I've always used the "rename sfv to rar" tool in sfvchecker and then just unrarred starting from the .rar

          Ignore me then

            Yes you can.

Anyways, for all things to do with packing stuff, I like to use Powerarchiver. http://www.powerarchiver.com/

I'm pretty sure that I know the problem... Tell me the exact error and I'll tell you how to fix it.

Yea, the cue file just has the track layout, bin file has the actual data. Do you have the bin file? Cue files are small, if all those rars really had one huge cue file, then it's probably not a cue file, but some other. (maybe .iso)

                    No wait....

You said you unpacked the .001 file? You didn't unpack the rest? Well I think they should be unpacked automatically too, but do the sizes match? Is the unpacked stuff a lot smaller than the rar files?
