Playing from school

Im on a uni connection and I've tried telling the firewall to not block continuum.exe. I don't know what port the game tries to use so I couldn't try opening that up. Then again I dont really know if its the firewall on this comp. Can somebody give me a hand?

The port for TW is 5400
The ip for TW is 66.36.241.110

If it's your own firewall, open up UDP ports 5400 and 5401. 5400 allows you to connect to the zone, 5401 allows you to see the ping time in the main menu (5401 isn't vital, 5400 is).

If it's your Uni firewall, there's no way to "hack" around it. Try emailing the IT services, if it's a dorm connection, they'll normally open up a port for gaming if you ask nicely, make sure you ask for 5400 UDP, not TCP. If it's a Uni PC (like in the library or something), then I doubt they will.

Hope it will work out, not sure how to open the ports tho, Internet Explorer > Internet Options > ... > V Use a proxy server ... > Advanced > insert the ports?

Is that the right way? I'm not sure if im able to get online from school, I think I got a good chance since its a Multimedia school.

I have to insert some ports at those options to work with the wireless lan at school.

Continuum wont work with proxy servers. You need the Network Admin to open the needed ports but they probably won't do it, it's not school work related..
