    Sharing files

    Ok, I have a wireless network in my house now.

    How do I share the MP3 folder temporarily so my Mum can download it onto her laptop?

    I tried right clicking on the folder, and then sharing it. It now says it's shared, but I have no idea how to view it on my Mum's laptop.

    Click on "My Network Places". If it's not on your desktop try the Control Panel or start menu

      When I search for "Henry" on this computer, it finds my Mum's.

      However, when I search for "Geoffrey" on my Mum's, it doesn't find this one.

      Also, when on my Mum's, if I go to "My Network Places" then "View Workgroup Computers". It says it can't access it.

        Ok, This PC shows two workgroups in My Network Places.

        MSHome and Workgroup.

        MSHome has Geoffrey and Henry

        Workgroup has Chelsea.

        I briefly turned on Chelsea, and it could definitely find Geoffrey, but the battery ran out before I could see if I could find Henry.

        On Henry, it shows one Workgroup, MSHome, and when I try to view the computers inside, cannot connect saying I don't have permission or whatever.

            You can't send a folder, and I don't particularly want to wait while a 3gb folder zips.

              I put my sister's (Chelsea) on the MSHome workgroup, and it works perfectly on hers.

              So it must be something with my Mum's :/
