I was messing around in VB .Net trying to make a software add-on (similar to the way AOL "progs" were/are). I tried using windows 32 api functions to set the text on the chat client for continuum where you input text to send. I tried using setWindowText function and SendMessage function, both worked when I checked with an API viewer that displays a windows handle information (it showed window text field as what I tried to set it to) but the ACTUAL text of the window (where you input text to send) didn't change. Anyone know how to do this or what I might have done wrong?
