Reseting a USB key id.

Any one know of any applications to do this I have a USB key and I want to reset the ID on it.

I don't understand the "ID on it". What do you mean by that, and why would you want to change it?

There are ways to format, partition, use USB devices as boot disks and as a computer system, but this is new to me.

I guess I can understand a bit more if you could explain what you want to do.

Do you mean where it says "Jacks Mem Stick" or some sort of security system on it?
