    Hopone Router

    Hey, recently there has been some unstable lag and most people have been able to shake it off, but I'm experiencing +50-70ms than I normally have. I've traced the lag back to the Hopone router. Anyone experiencing similar lag? Anything I can do to prevent it. My lag for the other zones seem fine.

      Nothing can be done...

      Hopone routers sucks but they are cheap so we use them <_<

        Hopone router doesn't SHOW that they send some shit back or something, think someone said something about this before. It works fine, even though it doesn't show it.

            That connection has always been a problem for me too. I think it got worse after they upgraded "Carnivore" to "Echelon", part of the wire-tapping schemes. Notice from there most traffic goes through Maryland, heaquarters for NSA.

              When tracing, the Hopone router won't show a correct indication of lag or packetloss. This is because it blocks all ICMP traffic (which is used for trace). The game packets are sent via UDP so get through the router fine.
