ignore.txt not working...

Okay... So I finally got a kid that I want to perm ignore. I creat ignore.txt and it looks like this:

Hyeena
Newb Pie

I save it in my root Continuum folder: C:\Program Files\Continuum\ignore.txt

I quit out/come back in to SS and I can still hear Newb Pie whining.... Please help.

EDIT: Oh sorry, I just saw that you did quit Continuum. Mmmhh, I dont know then, you are doing everything the right way.

Did you fully close the Continuum client. I'm not sure that just Esc + Qing is enough, I think you wight have to close the program and open it again.

He doesn't want to.

But what's probably happening is you've named the file ignore.txt.txt if you haven't disabled the option where windows automatically hides extenstions for known file types.

To disable this open up any folder, click Tools > Folder Options, click on the "View" tab then scroll down the box to where it says "Hide extensions for known file types" and uncheck the box. Now click the "Apply" button then "OK".

Now try to create ignore.txt in your continuum root folder.

I got it to work... Heres what I did.

I created a file called "ignore" not "ignore.txt" just plain "ignore". I put it in my continuum directory and here is my current ignore file:

Hyeena
Newb Pie
Mindset

It works now... So for anyone with the same question as me, this is how you perm ignore people.

That is not the way how to permanent ignore people since you didn't do what Kontrolz told you which was the solution to your problem.

yeah, if you name it ignore.txt it's going to show up as ignore.txt.txt. you can avoid all that by putting the filename in quotation marks when you save it. this goes for any file that you save with any program. saving it as "ignore.txt" (with quotations) will save it as the exact name you type in, whereas saving it as ignore.txt (without quotes) will automatically add the file extension to the end again. hope this helps you with more than just your current problem (which I see you've already solved)
