cd-rom shit

when i put a cd in the drive it does nothing but wind up and the light flashes a couple times, thats it, nothing autostarts, nothing.....it just worked fine...but if i put the XP disk in and restart it recognizes the cd cuz it asks me to press any key to boot from cd, any ideas? :/

yea they're bootable, everyone ive tried, they just worked when i formatted the new hd i installed drivers from my cd's now it wont work :/
