  • Burn to NTSC

I live in a PAL area and I'm looking to burn a DVD-r disk so that it will work on a NTSC computer. I'm looking to burn data, not DVD movies or anything.

So files on my computer -> want to burn to a blank DVD-r disk -> so can be used on NTSC computer

PAL and NTSC are formats for the encoding of colors on TV signals (or from video DVDs).

I don't really see how it applies to data DVDs. I am pretty (but not 100%) sure that a data DVD will work wherever (of course the recipient DVD Drive must support the DVD type (DVD+RW DVD-R etc)).

PAL/NTSC is not a factor if it's just data.

Maybe you're talking about Region encoding. If so, look out for a copy of DVD Region Free

I want to be able to burn some DVD-rs on my laptop and make them playable for a computer in Canada. And it's data, not a DVDmovie

yeah, i already have it thanks i'm not trying to create a dvd for dvd players, though. i'm just wanting to put them all on a disk so they're playable on the computer with windows media player, etc

if regional formats don't apply to data disks then goodie.
