Vista - Subspace

Having problems with radar and energy bars while playing subspace with windows vista. I've managed to get it where I can see black dots with a green background in my radar by forcing those items into system memory via the advanced options. I also have windows xp sp2 compatibility turned on. Does anyone run this under vista fine?

I have no experience with Vista myself, but I saw someone talking about this yesterday in SS and the advice was to update their video drivers.

Are you running the final release of Vista or is it a Beta/RC?

There are problems with Continuum on the Beta/RC versions.


If you're running the final release, try updating the video card drivers like stab said and make sure you have the latest version of DirectX (Although I think this comes with Vista so you should have it anyway).

Also, you mentioned it's on XP SP2 compatibility, you shouldn't need to have it in compatibility mode.

I am running:
Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit version 6.0
Nvidia geforce 7800GT with latest drivers: 100.59

also- it did come with latest directx

I've tried it both with and without compatibility - no changes. So i'll rule that out.
I'll just wait for more updates on my graphics card because it is the most probable cause. thanks for the help though.

Tiny has the same problem.
I think this is becouse NVIDIA's drivers are still very bad.

Running Vista Ultimate no problem with ss only problem i got is i cant get it activated :P

Vista working fine here. Also radar i have modified the enemy as a red target on radar. Read this to bypass active Vista http://www.mydigitallife.info/2007/0...ista-ultimate/

Use software emulation and Radar should work.

Worked for me.

I am using Vista Business version.
