I need help with implementing something like this but a little differently:
    http://infosthetics.com/archives/200..._graphing.html

I want to do the |||||||||||||||| in a cell (say referenced from CELL A1), but then right next to it (within the same cell) have a few more ||||| in a different color referenced from a different cell (say referenced from CELL A2).

So all the |||||'s are in one cell (say CELL A3) with references both from CELL A1 and A2 (both different colors but continuous/abutting/joined).

I couldn't get the "|"s different colors, but without the colors you can get the same effect using "|" from one cell & "I" from the other.
The "I" looks like the "|" in the cell but a little shorter.
You can enhance the difference further by making the "I" bold.

sry that's all I could figure out in 10 minutes of effort.
It prolly does you no good

cant you change the font size so it seems more like a bar? =O
or just l (lowercase L) and | (the straight line above the Enter key)

Thanks guys. I realize I can't get the formatting/colors different. But I did use the A1&A2 trick to join the two cell data together. I just used | for one part and ' instead of using different colors.
