In making a portfolio website, I would advise that the images you plan to use are watermarked in some way so that they will not be used by others without permission and I would also do it in a Flash format to prevent the theft of the images. Obviously someone can just do a screen capture, thats why they should be watermarked to a somewhat visible appearance.
Colors for backgrounds...hmm. Are you an art student? College or High School. If in High School...I cant give you crap, but if in college, you should have at least had one semester on Color alone.
Go with a neutral and use white or black. Let your pic/images be the color that draw the eyes attention to them.

I'm currently working on a portfolio website and am torn between a couple decisions. If give me just your opinion it would help beyond belief.
first,
What color would be best to use?
I was thinking a black background intro page with mostly white images
then the regular page with a white background and black theme
second,
what should i name it
MJR? my initials or something more creativeTags: None
