green screen when i try to watch anything. how do i fix it?

Download codec
You need to have the right codec installed to play the video.

In wmp options, under performance try lowering the video acceleration slider, or click advanced.. and uncheck use overlays.
Or if your video card has wmv acceleration, try disabling itComment

Windows Media Player 11 recognizes and tries to download the codec automatically. If it doesn't succeed it gives you a message which codec you need (via a link).
Which WMP version do you use? Can you upgrade to WMP 11? (use windowsupdate)Maverick

nah i watched me owning pandora already. i used divx or somethin. ANY video clips wont work with WMP.
