  • Windows XP and SATA drives

Does anyone have any experience installing Windows XP on SATA drives without the use of a floppy drive?

    That's how I installed mine.

No easy way, almost easier to install a spare floppy drive for the install (if the mobo supports it).

Most people use Nlite and burn a new Windows XP install CD with the SATA drivers slipstreamed on it.

alternatively, if the motherboard supports it, make a bootable usb flash drive with the sata drivers on it.

I did not need any separate drivers for SATA.
