  • Removing a stubborn heat sink

Yea, I have an oldie 1.5ghz pent4 processor and I'm trying to remove it to install a newer still oldie pent4 2.4 ghz. The thing is, the heatsink retension clips are extremely stubborn to remove; any tips?

Here's what kind of heat sink I have:

Note the retention clips are not the while clips, those where easy to unlock. The retention clips are near the bottom where the heatsink connects to the mobo.

Currently it's kinda waddling in there ever since I released the while clips. The lower clips have this hook like nature about them on all 4 sides
    ie:

    -[>] [<]-

    -[>] [<]-

the [] are the holes in the mobo socket and the -> is the hook if you can imagine after looking the the second and third pic.
