packet loss

please help me im getting really annoyed, every day i come on I can't play because of packetlosshow can i reduce this?
av ploss= S2C: 0.1% C2S: 10.8% HELP! I cant even play TWD because of it and im soo annoyed

The most commonly asked question these days about lag. There's not really much you can do about it. Try going to the Continuum main menu, and running a trace on Trench Wars. If it shows packetloss on most/all of the hops to the server, then it is most likely a server problem which should dissapear after a few minutes/hours. If the packetloss is concentrated around 1, 2, or 3 hops, then its probably either a problem with your ISP or routing to the server. You cannot change your routing, to my knowledge, so the only option that would leave you would be to get a new IP. I've had the same problem in the past, but it's gotten slightly better. So what does that mean and what can I do about it?

Yeah, that unknown.level3.net thing alwasy says that for me, too. Not sure why. Best thing you can do it to probably get a new ISP (Internet Service Provider).

Wow, you're lucky. Only ten hops from you to the server. I have to go through twenty-two. And yeah, the best thing you can do is to find a new Internet Service Provider. Not sure what's availible in your area, but I reccomend you use a DSL/Cable connection, depending on what you can find/afford, over a 56k dialup.
