  • DCME not working

Why is DCME not working? I put the required files in the windows/system32 folder but it can't be open. It says it still missing something =(

Please be a bit more specific than "it's missing something". Tell us EXACTLY what the error message says.

Ewan: I've gotten this recently as well.

The error message I was getting was: "Component missing: COMDLG32" or whatever the exact text is. That's the name of the component it mentions though.

Curiously enough, I made sure I put EVERY required file in the folder as well, and I could see it there, but I was still told it was missing.

The weirdest thing is I JUST NOW tried to open DCME without having changed anything from when it wasn't working and it opened fine...

      Did anyone else get this?

I just have the files in the same folder as my DCME folder. Seems to work fine there (at least for me).

You can also put the required files in the same folder rather than in system32:
          http://www.ssforum.net/index.php?showtopic=12845

It includes Chao's missing file error

I put them only in the dcme folder instead of system32, maybe that was the problem

For the developers of DCME it's easier if you post at the forum of DCME - http://www.ssforum.net/index.php?showforum=277

Put them into the dcme folder. Should work better and is easier.
