  • Help with sound on laptop.

I got a laptop here that doesn't react when you plug in a headset.

It doesn't stop forwarding sound to its speakers, but you still get sound in the headset you plug in.

I need to get the computer to shut the fuck up while I listen to the headset. Every option in the sound settings, and on the laptop removes the sound from the headset as well.

    HALP!

Maybe new drivers would help? Or [I'm no expert on hardware problems] but maybe it's a conflict of some sort..

If you have an old fashioned male audio plug for the headset it should not be possible as it d/c s the speaker.
If, however, you have an USB headset (though why you would want one is beyond me) you should be able to manipulate it using the sound preferences (select output device or un/de-select some choose standard device option).

Beyond that I have no clue

        Speakers are still on.

Tell the laptop that it isn't possible!
