I upgraded my pirated Sins of a Solar Empire to a fully legal version, to get access to the online feature of the game. However, I can't host any games, I get this error that there are something wrong with ports/NAT.
The internet here is basically a router (SpeedTouch 546i v6), and a couple of switches that shares the signal, nothing fancy.
The game requires me to have the default 6112 port open to host games, or to have uPnP enabled. I've enabled uPnP in vista, and my friend has in XP. I've enabled uPnP in the router settings. There's absolutely no firewall issue.
I've tried to manually mapping the port to my current session IP, just to get it to work before messing with static IPs.
No matter what the fuck I do it still won't work. uPnP, manually mapping, checking firewall on both my system and on the router.
I'm on the verge of giving up, I've even struggled with this for so long, that I've learned quite a bit about this and my router.
WHAT THE FUCK CAN I DO? I HATE COMPUTERS!
