So I got an xbox 360 for christmas, january 23rd the screen starts freezing about 10 seconds after I turn it on. Put it away for a while, with the intention of bringing it back. Decided to test it out again today, still froze. So i started fucking with it.

I brought it down off the table that was next to the tv and the router. And put it on the ground. Still wasnt fixed, so I flipped it vertically, and that was just the trick. It's really weird, you wouldn't think that would have such a drastic effect. But anyway, I'm gonna give it a week and see how it goes.

Like I say, not sure if this'll be a long term solution, anyone else encounter this problem?

if keeping it vertically doesn't work

freezing might have to do with your system cache being full

this happened to me a lot when I played oblivion

when you turn on your console, start holding A, and keep holding it until the title screen of your game has loaded. you will know it is working because it will hold longer at the white xbox 360 screen and make computer whirring noises.

anyway, this clears your cache and may be the problem, may not, but it won't hurt to try and is a super common problem.

ours fucks up when the power converter overheats. try elevating it or putting it somewhere where it's easier for it to cool.
