I created a very simple wine tutorial can install continuum in like 5 steps....

Option 1 (Author: doc flabby)

OPTION WAS ONLY TESTED FOR UBUNTU/KUBUNTU

0. If you do not already have wine installed on your system, install wine in the standard way on your system.

1. Download standard Continuum installer - 4.7 MB

2. Run the installer downloaded above (default options are fine) on wine.

3. Before you run Continuum, execute the following commands:

wget http://subspace2.net/kernel32.dll.so -O /tmp/kernel32.dll.so

sudo mv /usr/lib/wine/kernel32.dll.so /usr/lib/wine/kernel32.dll.so.old

sudo cp /tmp/kernel32.dll.so /usr/lib/wine/kernel32.dll.so

4. Run Continuum.

5. PLAY!

Bascially i've pre-patched the file you need to patch to get continuum to work saving you the bother...

I think on fedora you can do "yum install wine"

Should work on fedora as long as you running 32-bit. Might need to change the directories if they are different on fedora. Bascially you need to replace kernel32.dll.so with my version...

I switched to Ubuntu 8.04.1 and tried that, but got a message "Failed to load dynamic link library menures.dll"

I'm interested to know why you got that menures.dll error as I created that patch on Ubuntu 8.04, so it should work perfectly.

I can't remember if I got sound working lol

Did you confirm the file existed, and the installer had not screwed up?

i play under wine but i haven't found a way to get the sound working
