Can't Connect Anymore

Ok i redownloaded continuum and the first run it ran fine. The 2nd time i ran it it just crashes saying Cannot Read Memory. When i redownloaded it it ran fine again the first time but the 2nd time it said the same exact thing. This only happens when I run it under 1024 x 768 x 32. Any1 know how to fix it?

I run windows vista if that changes anything

uninstall vista, reinstall xp
