Installed Continuum but it won't start up at all! What should I do?

Well, after 5+ years of remission from computer games i decided to remember good ol cuntinuum. installed it, tried to run... nothing! just nothing appears, no game window, no error window. played with the compatibility settings of continuum.exe - no use. help =(

probably never deleted it correctly in the first place maybe or something. Try downloading CCleaner, and doing an uninstall from that, and running the regedit tool to get rid of useless roots. Then try doing the .40 install from www.trenchwars.org and see if that works. That way at least you know it is a clean install.

fug! the install was clean since i formatted the whole hard drive to hell two days ago.

I read that thread and i dont get it - why the hell this dumb lil game requires the antivirus software to be uninstalled... why OTHER games start up perfectly despite the installed software? the developers' hands grow out of their arses

dang it dang it dang it. I WANNA PLAY! I haven't played computer games a hundred years please recommend me a decent antivirus that will let continuum start... free or not free, dont care, the only requierments are good antivirus protection and loyalty for continuum. currently have Kaspersky 7.xxx, windows XP Media Center 2005

maybe it is on your comp that can't even run continuum.

from about 1998-2003 i used the full version of norton as my antivirus and firewall, and still got at least 1 virus a year.
then, from 2004-present, i switch over to AVG free version and haven't had a single virus since

avg fails pretty hard. lots of false positives.

McAfee, I have never had a virus and I you can allow any program to connect to the internet through it. It will ask if you want to allow the connection and choose always connect. McAfee is free for Comcast users.
