    Is Vista still bad for SS?

    I still have my old pc which has Windows XP. I'm a little gunshy of purchasing a new PC because of the inordinate amount of space Vista uses. Have we found any settings that remedy the situation for subspace or is it still a pain?

    Also, any recommendations for some nice gaming PC's? Thanks!

    I use Vista and run continuum without trouble. What was the situation?

      Continuum runs no differently on Vista than it does on Windows XP. Though if you're that skeptical, might as well wait until Windows 7 is released (presumably sometime October ish).

        Make your own. And Vista works a-ok with SS.

          I'm using Vista and I haven't noticed anything that has been different running this game after I switched.

          Build your own rig, and make sure you stick with Nvidia graphic cards and Intel cpu's. I bet I could train a monkey to build a rig, it's not hard at all, it's like a puzzle with few but expensive pieces that only really fits together in one way.

            Well, the play was very jumpy. I think the PC that I got didn't have a very good video card, but then again, Subspace really wouldn't require anything too fancy. But good to know others are running it without a prob.

              Don't bother with vista, you're better of using windows 7. You can use it legally for free until june next year or something and download it straight from microsoft.

              By the time your free key, also provided by microsoft, runs out there will probably already be working pirated versions or just buy it if that's how you roll ^^
