  • New OS, no network adapter?

I recently downloaded a new OS from a torrent, I see that it has like audio drivers and stuff, but I cannot connect to the internet. I did a diagnostic run and it says it has no network card or network adapter or whatever. Do I have to go online and find the driver/adapter/card? I would be doing this now except I have no freaking idea which to look for.

I have a simple LAN connection. When I go to show all connections, there is absolutely nothign there. It doesn't even say that a connection isn't connected, there's just nothing.

The drivers of your network card couldn't be found.

If you have a network card that's on your motherboard, find the CD-Rom of the motherboard as it contains the drivers of your network card. You can also go to the website of the brand of your motherboard. (For example, if it's an Asus motherboard, visit asus.com.) On the website, go to support and download the drivers specific for your motherboard.

If you have a network card that's seperate from your motherboard, find the CD-Rom that came with it. It contains the windows drivers. You can also go to the website of the brand of the network card. On the website, go to support and download the drivers specific for your network card.

If you don't know the brand or manufacturer of your motherboard / network card, find the box or open up your computer. It should be written somewhere on your motherboard or network card.

I figured it out, had to look up my model number and dl the driver. BUT, I have no audio drivers...whenever I try to install drivers nothing happens. Like it cannot detect ANY audio devices when one i obv plugged in.

        Bout to backhand my computer.

          got it, wow i'm good.

what's weird is that since i downgraded to windows xp sp3, the drivers for the orginal, which is meant for windows vista, still work. Wow too awesome.
