can not connect

Had to wipe C partition and reinstall Wxp pro... 4 hrs later patching Wxp, replacing the browsers, ect, time to start checking if the games are still accessible.

(Well initially, i could not connect to internet; had to reinstall ethernet drivers for mobo from the mobo CD, then it was no sound; after trying all kinds of audio and hd audio and ac97 and realtech drivers to no sound, i pulled the pin jack out of the mobo onboard audio and pluged it back in... now got sound!)

Well reran the Continuuum 040 setup, 4.66MB ver 0.0.0.0, d/led from here (it installed in Program Files,) even added it as an exception in the firewall but mouse clicking it's desktop icon shows a hourglass /cursor for a few seconds then nothing; no thunderous popup of the Continuum client.

There does not seem to be anything in the stickied 'read first' for people not able to get the program to initially run.

Maybe your Firewall is just acting up?

Try removing/disabling your firewall..

If you have Zone Alarm, theres your answer, it did it to me a lot.. even when i'd shut it down, it'd be running in the background quietly without my knowledge..

drastic steps to get TW working

Tried the disable firewall & all anti virus programs, after uninstalling & purging all registry entries... fresh install and it still would do nothing after mousclicking the desktop icon ver 40 install placed there...

so, drastically, moved everything off that hd (hard drive) wiped it, reformated & a clean install of Wxp pro, after about 130 security updates from MS, downloaded the client again. (only default Wxp pro firewall was up, no anti virus programs installed yet)
This time in Continuum's setup there was a popup with about 6 buttons it went through.
But at least it progressed through and now LMC brings up the Continuum server select page with a default user; had a tough time reviewing what my game user name & password were!
But at least am back in TW complaining about levs intentionally tking us in flag base.

ps. ? does anybody know of a Complete Wxp MS update CD one can get, for after M$ stops supporting Wxp and one can nolonger access that huge # of update & security patches?
