1 laptop, 2 speaker systems?

Hi there,

Im having this party soon, and I might have to fix the musics. I have 2 speaker systems and I dont think they are powerfull enough to fill the room with music on their own. So I had this idea of combining the 2 sets.

Ive got:

Logitech z4 stereo set, with amp
and
2 Akai speakers, with amp
and
a laptop (Realtek sound)

My question:
Is it possible to put a "splitter" on the audio output on my laptop so that I can use 2 speakersets at the same time?

yes. you can get an adapter that splits a standard headphone jack into two separate cables. hook one of each to both your amps, and you're golden.



you may need to get another "splitter" that splits that cable into a standard phono setup. i.e. red and white cables, to hook up to your amp.
