Subspace banner request

Hi all,

I am wondering if anyone here is able to skillfully convert a logo into a subspace banner. Here it is:



It is for my squad ReBoot.

i'll give it a go, but it's going to be a bit tough since that image is basically square (58x57) versus the rectangular dimensions of a banner (12x8). might end up looking a little distorted.

not even gonna bother posting my results are a few minutes of dicking around in photoshop. the problem with your source image is that it uses way too many colors to achieve gradients, and you just don't have room for that on a 12x8 canvas. i can get something that looks somewhat like your source image, but scaled down so small you lose the detail and it just looks crappy, imho.

edit: perhaps someone more skilled in pixel art than i can help you out. i've never been especially good at it.

This is my try. Like Jason already said, you need to do some pixel work to make the symbol appear better in the small banner.

yeah that's just about exactly what i ended up with after some quick playing around, mav. it's nearly impossible to keep that gray gradient visible when you scale it down. you lose it in the black background of the banner.
