Lag but no lag? help me out..

well for me its a router in New York hosted by alter.net, i don't know if you are having a problem with the same one...just do a trace for sscu trench wars and check which router seems to be getting high ping and ploss relative to its location to where you live

In game it sais 17.4% packetloss, and even even 10 minutes BEFORE i did this trace i went in game, 30 seconds playing and it said "packetloss too high for you to enter the game"
reconnect, same thing
about 4 hours before the trace it was high latency s2c.......

what's going on?!?!?!

being screwed up by hardly any packetloss and only 280ms high ping? 50ms average? a bit unlikely isnt it?......................btw on the temp trench wars server, when it was still up, i played even when downloading at 800ms ping average, and nothing there..... howcome im put in spectator mode, and even disconnected multiple times for high latency, and packetloss (even weirder) with only 280ms HIGHPING??????????????????????????????

ok what ever you seem like you dont want any help, but i think does are the routers that are giving you trouble..just look at their high ping then look at the routers before and after and their high ping....i think you can figure out the rest.

you call up your internet porvider, tell them you are trying to connect to a game and you are getting bad ping tims and packet loss (you might have to explain to them what packet loss is) and tell them that when you traced you realized the problem was a broken router and ask them what they can do about it.
