    GIF file

    i tried getting a new avatar and this came up : The uploaded file is not a valid GIF or JPG file. Please ensure that it is and try again.

    The file does have the GIF at the end of it but it still doesnt work. Whats wrong?

    Make sure it is the right size first.. (avatar). Then open it with paint or gif converter(if u have a mac). And try resaving it. And try to open it again as your avatar. That might work but i am not sure.

      You have to make sure that the file complies with the size limits (75 by 75 pixels or 10000 bytes, whichever is smaller). I'm pretty sure it gives the same message no matter what you did wrong.

      2nd of all, you have to physically convert the file to .jpg or .gif, not just rename it.
