    Another reason why UDP would be used is because since practically all the players of Continuum run Windows, running with a TCP connection might in fact open up TCP port 139 and/or 445 which are gateways for a hacker to run in. Hackers could even send false packets from their computer emulating the Continuum client/server and thus be able to compromise your system through tricking your computer or firewall into allowing the packets through the ports. Especially since TCP port 139 would be a vulnerability to all Windows OSs and 445 for Win 2000 users.

      As far as i can tell the Continuum client uses the UDP protocol (ports 2400 and 2401).
      There's no place like 127.0.0.1
