  • Can someone help me?

    First problem:

The homepage is for some ad website. I change it, but when I restart my computer, it comes back to the ad URL. I removed all cookies and deleted all temp internet files, but it doesnt work. What the hell do I do?

    Second problem:

How do I remove those extra tabs. I don't know.

    Third Problem:

    Picture speaks for itself.

Okay first one. Get adaware from here:

    http://download.com.com/3001-2144-10214379.html

Install and run the scan. Remove all objects. If you have Kazaa installed, not Kazaa lite or K++ then don't remove anything with the name Kazaa in it. It will disable the spyware and render Kazaa usless. Get K++ anyways its much much better.

As for the tabs when Adaware removes Xupiter..... It might remove the tabs but you can always try side clicking on it and deleting it.

Now the picture, i'm not sure because I haven't used 9x in a long time but click on locate and search around for paint.exe. It says it's missing a file, so a virus or another program could have overwritten the needed file for MS paint.

I knows it's boring but virus scans are always a good idea.

Someone else with more knowledge of the 9x environment wanna help him with the picture problem.

Edit: Xupiter=adware. Even though it is adware do a virus scan aswell heres a free one:

I think it's locate - then browse for the program either in your start menu or windows folder. These problems are probably from from either adware, spyware or could just be a virus. There isn't much left to be said, but to use either an antivirus program like Norton or a free one. I think http://symantec.com has a free norton one you can use online.

Hold down Shift and Right Click on the file. Select "Open with" and then scroll down and pick mspaint. Then check the box that says "Always use this program to open this type of file."
