Problems downloading maps

Recently every time i try to DL a new map (i.e. battleship) i get the downloading screen, and it seems to be downloading properly but then when someone talks in chat it aborts the DL and disconnects me.

Is there somewhere i can download all the maps for TW in a convenient zip file?

What kind of internet connection do you have? Try to download again without any other programs running in the background.

Well make sure you don't hit "Escape" while it's downloading or it will boot u. But if that's not the problem give me your email and ill send you the map.

Do what Arc said, make sure no programs are running in the background (Clt Alt Delete). Try even running just the client alone without any applications (background or not). Clear off any adware with adaware from:

Battleship has some weird settings, for example you can use the %# and everyone can hear it in the arena like when a ER would use them, don't abuse it .

Side click, save target as.

Save it and put it into your TW/zone folder.

X:\Program Files\Continuum\zones\SSCU Trench Wars

If doing this doesn't work the .lvl might not be the only file needed. If you are alt tabbing while downloading the map it can sometimes crash the client. Try alt tabbing and then going to the arena.

Good idea, but I highly doubt Bioture would give you his email.

Putting it into a compressed zip file would not do anything but make the file size smaller. Clicking on the dirrect link will disply the file in IE. If you right click and click on save target as it will work. It's not all that important either, its not going to solve the problem.

Most of the computer related problems people have on here are due to not performing normal matinace to their computer i.e Virus scans, adware removing and even doing scan disks. It's also extremely hard to help someone with a computer problem over this medium.

You have to eliminate software problems (example: uninstalling a program/reinstalling, removing viruses/adware) then if it can't be explained you move onto a hardware problem like defective memory or bad sectors on a HDD. It's not that hard but you have to go through simple procedures like these, you can't just say shit like "this happend to me before, this is how you do it" because not every problem is the same. Its 95 % procedural and 5 % knowledge basicly with fixing computers, hell that proablly why technicians don't get paid that much.

I've worked with maps for more than two years now. I know what im talking about. Some people will only recieve the tileset if you don't send it as zip. It has happend to people i sent my maps to. But you are right when it really comes down to it just one map isnt that important compared to fixing your computer so you could download all maps.
-Everything else you said sounds right thou. If he goes threw all of that i bet there will be no problems.
