Connection Problems

Ok here's the deal. I can connect through my cable modem and then everynow and then it will d/c me. No biggie, but the problem comes when I have to change IPs to reconnect. Is anyone else having that problem? I can't connect w/ that same IP for several days. Please help.

First off, wrong forum... this is technical support.

Secondly: Have you installed a firewall recently?
Your ISP might be checking if you are still connected to internet and if your firewall blocks that request you will get disconnected. You want to find out what IP the computer that send out these requests are on (call support or something). Then just allow requests from that IP to get through the firewall.
