Yes, but the difference between 4x and 8x is hardly enough to make any difference.

The difference between AGP 4x and AGP 8x is, quite simply, and increase in available bandwidth. This translates into a speed adavantage of about 1-2% tops, for current top of the line graphics cores (e.g. Radeon 9800 Pro).
The AGP 8x bus (and standard PCI) in turn, will likely be replaced by PCI Express 16x, but this will be slow and gradual proces.

I'd say you average around 5-10 frames more in UT2003. With a compatible 4x/8x AGP card of course.

UT2003 now depresses me :S

used to love it but now its just a bore - too repetitive. Also mods are shit like that SAS: into the lions den mod, its bollocks.

I prefer hitbox technology thx.

well consider, i got it this past christmas im not bored with it yet, and im wating for 2k4 to come out, but i really want hl2, and doom 3
