MVP in a timed race game

But, sorry for my post, I didn't really come to a conclusion at all. I really have no idea how to judge a shark's performance based on statistics, because you really can't. That also means, that you can't compare the shark to the other ships around it.

Bottom line is, the best plyer cannot possibly be determined by any kind of stats.

Which brings us back to voting. a 30 s period after the end of the game where you could pm the bot with !mvp -name- and then the bot would announce the top 3 or something (ppl who got most votes).

Abolish MVP and add stats like these at the end of the games:

Most Points, Most Points, Most Deaths, Most TKs, Most TerrKills, Most Repels Used, ETC.

I like this idea. I'd rather see stats then have a single MVP. But if you keep it, it should be whoever has most kills on either team, win or lose. Also maybe have these stats stored with the match information on the twd site.

I don't know why everyone ignores that idea. It's a lot better than just having a single MVP, it eliminates the need for all these MVP formulas, and it gives pretty much every ship something to work for in each game.

I"ve brought the same idea up with Bleen and FoN when I've seen them. Basically, I'd like something along the lines of what Powerball bot does. If they can do the spiffy StatBox to boot, well, that'd just be too much rad for words.

Anyway, stats I'd like to see:
1.) Kills
2.) Deaths
3.) Team Kills
4.) Shark Kills
5.) Terr Kills
6.) Flag Touches
7.) Total Play time (Time in game - (respawns + lagouts))
8.) Kills/Deaths per minute

Now the stuff gets weird:
9.) FR Time
10.) Lower Base Time
11.) Total Reps used (for sharks)
12.) Total Portals used (for terrs)
13.) Total Bursts used (for terrs)
14.) Total FCs greened (for spiders)
15.) Total Greens collected (per team)

Not saying we'd need it all, but those would be the cool things I'd like to see in stats. Screw your MVP, ships aren't comparable!

So instead we should just count of how many times people:
1) help grandmas carries their groceries across the street.
2) donate to an abused womens clinic.
3) adopt children from 3rd world countries.
and display it somewhere so everyone can make themselves a better person.

That's not really what I was saying. Just do a nice printout of who got the most ____, who got the least ____ etc at the end of every game. Doesn't really need to be displayed anywhere but in the game (for ?go base).

I messaged lnx and he said he was working on displaying who got mvp for each game and in what ship. Just wanted to post here as a reminder I guess and would like the mvp shown for the past games too.

If we are changing the mvp to formula format whoever got it should be shown too so that it isn't assumed to be the spider with most points.

wadi's idea is very, very good. I dont see why the "powers above" don't even say something like "that's a good idea" or "maybe we could do that". All i see is "". Like i said before, they are just looking for something to do, the hard way.

Voting is a BAD IDEA. Just think of the overrated people that are going to get MVP all the time, pretty pointelss.

Maybe I could code a sperate bot that does some of these features, since it gets 0 support from staffers. I dont know java that well, but i think i know enough to do MOST of these things.
