I think most people would like twbd to reflect twlb as much as possible (map, ship settings, etc). One thing that I find hard to deal with at times is the length of games and time it takes until the next game is started. I know people have expressed their concern about being left out and this isn’t what this is about although I think it could help with that indirectly.

My suggestion is to make twbd2 a 10 minute win just like in .?go base but keeping everything else the same. This would provide shorter games and possibly more people willing to play even as a second bd game.

TWDD now has two alternative arenas, DD4 (formerly DD3) with no resolution cap, and DD5 with a 1280x1024 resolution cap. So adding a second alt BD arena sounds like a good idea. It might take a bit of time to make sure it overrides the default 15 min win condition directly, I'll keep you posted. We will most likely move the existing attach mode arena to DD5 and this one to DD4.

If this happens, cut down the pre-game timer to 3+2mins or something. Every game nowadays takes full 10 minutes before it actually starts

Disagree. If the idea of this is to try to get a second game going then the other two squads are going to need the full time.

I totally agree that the timer for normal games in TWBD should be drastically reduced.
