A League Proposal - TWD Salary League

Great idea, be nice to see TWD make a comeback. Looking forward to being a D level player!

Might want to make each season about 6-8 weeks. 12 weeks seems long.

The current TWD rating system might be better as Dwopple said as with a strick W/L% teams will probably only play games when their best players are online.

Or could do something like each team gets to subtract 10-15 losses when calculating their W/L so teams are not afraid to play any lineup.

TWD season with fixed captains. 5 squads. Captains can make their own squad with a stack limit on rosters. Stack limit is a salary cap. Every player has a salary associated with them. We run a regular season, then playoffs on sundays.

Just had a read through and was surprised by how good this sounded. I noticed 3 potential niggles.

1) Revising player salaries mid-season may invalidate rosters - what then? Is a squad forced to trade a player if they get tipped over the roster salary cap mid-season? I feel as if salaries have to be decided initially and reviewed at the end of the season.

2) The actual math behind salary caps and rosters. Why is the roster salary cap 110 mill? Why is an S-Tier player worth 9-10 mill, etc? These ratios do kinda matter. Seems like you probably extrapolated from TWDT ratings and rosters. I didn't notice anything egregious at face value, but just wondering how you arrived at these exact numbers.

3) Since you're allowed infinite A tiers, the S/A tier cut off is a huge determination. Now I'm thinking about it, you could compose a pretty stacked line up within the current rules. The following line up comes to 90 mill (leaving 20 mill for additional players.)

Ease (S Tier) 10 mill
Turban (S Tier) 10 mill
Zidane (S Tier) 9 mill
Racka (S Tier) 9 mill

Hellkite (A Tier) 7 mill
Hulk (A Tier) 8 mill
Ogron (A Tier) 8 mill
Dak (A Tier) 7 mill
Absurd (A Tier) 8 mill
Rampage (A Tier) 7 mill
Brethal (A Tier) 7 mill

That's essentially a 3 league TWL squad.

Salary cap is 100 mil now.
There will be no mid-season salary revisions.
S tier players are "gamebreakers" which is why there is a cap. Its 20 S tier players and 5 squads. Math checks out.
