You don't have to play a LOT to get a high rank, just have to try not to lose a lot of games. When you have a lot of points, you lose a ton no matter who you lose to, and hardly gain any if you win.sdgComment

When you have 300 points more than anyone else on the ladder, you get something like 2 points for a victory. So you need to play a shitload of games to get more points. And when you lose one game, you need to win a few dozen just to get your previous rec.
