There is no secret to sharking in a cram situation that a guide of any length can teach. You rep, rep, rep, die, respawn and repeat. Any actual skill you hope to gain in the ship is self taught through observation and practical application. Not to criticise your efforts, but this was a collosal waste of your time as no one who needs to learn will actually read it.

Speaking of collosal wastes of time... bete noire didn't only cover sharking in the cram. As with ANY SHIP in this game, most of your skill comes from observation, practical application, and practice. It always helps to get the fundamentals of the ship and the "What to do" and "What not to dos". I'd also like to state that I need to learn this information, and I actually read it all the way through.

Instead of reading this useless crap I could just go practice shark in game and learn more from it if i put as much time in practicing as I would in reading this.

I like mid tube mining as long as it's far enough down so that when it's repped it doesnt completely kill all of your spids. Especially if there is shrap on them. It's a distraction, slows the enemy down so more of your team can shoot them, and wasts shark reps.

I like distraction/rep-wasting mines.

I would include something about the ph/stab bombing technique too (where one shark reps for the other shark so they can bomb, or when a shark reps just fast enough that right before they die they can let off a slow bomb that goes unnoticed until it's too late)...I think they could explain it better. This is from my observation.

Also, if my team has mid I like to cover a group of my spids from bullets or run in front of bullets that a spid would get hit with when I'm out of repels.

That technique PH loves where he thrusts really fast and at the same time mines right in front of enemy so that the enemy doesnt have time to stop their momentum is a good trick too.

Hmm that's all I can think of. Very nice, well-written guide! Maybe a nice smod will create some news about it so new players (if any read these forums) can see it.

I don't like the idea of one shark repping so that another can bomb... this usually will result in the one who bombs dying and the one who reps to be out of reps leaving your team defenseless. I tried to explain the repping with enough energy to bomb technique, but I suppose it could use a bit more clarification.

This is a good point that I often use, but did not include. I will consider it for an addendum.

This was supposed to be the "rep, pass, mine" technique discussed in the guide. I'll get some input from ph on how he feels it could be better described.

Yeah, the first example you quoted definitely deserves the most critique because it is hard to pull off. I figure most people would agree it's very tricky and can seriously hurt your team, but when pulled off (all you need is that one bomb to get in) it creates a major opening, so I thought it deserved a mention.

Also, not sure if you talked about it, but I think a lot of people learning to shark should learn to absorb their repped mines by sitting against the wall where the mine hits in order to save their teammates from lethal damage/emps.
