  • New kind of graph, comment!

I'm working on a new way to show statistics.
This is the beta i'm working on : http://twdivisions.org/arobas/graph2.php (using real data)

I already apologize for the 80's style but I can't get better because the webserver use some crappy old school library.

Now, what I want is your imagination. What you would like to see on those graph? This one is big but it could be a lot smaller. Also, where you want to see them? I can even put your face on it if you want.. really!

        Arobas -

I believe this has been mentioned in the past before so you might want to search for the exact thread I'm talking about but I think it would be extremely interesting to have a graph that illustrates each individual TWD game and plots the kills for each time as they stack up to 50.

Reasoning: this allows people see HUGE chokes during the game and how the game play went (ex. team 1 leading by 43-22 in first 10 minutes then at 15 minutes team 2 leading by 44-49).

Not sure if this is possible but that would be really cool. The same thought process can also be applied for base games using time as the independent variable.

Creature, what your saying is technically possible (see: http://stats.svszone.com/index.php?p...80071&season=6) but I believe it would require bot work and Arobas only does stuff with the website.

Wow, this is some badass graphs.. The one that shows the damage history is awesome, could be interesting. I don't think it would be hard to implement on a bot. But like Burnt said, I'm only working with the website :/ I'll talk with a bot dev to see what can be done.

I suggested a graphic showing the scores in a timeline to some bot developer
a few years ago but it was shut down because it "would take up too much
space" on the server.. I don't know if this is the case anymore so I would also
like to request for this feature.

Here's the idea for a graph that shows + and - differences throughout the game:

If a game ends in 50-25 the pointer goes way up or way down of course and
a tighter game doesn't have much ups and downs and stays along the middle
line... if you get the point. Starting is 0 kills total, middle line is 25 kills total and
                  ending 50 kills total.

                    Nice job! :turned:

Maybe a moving average line could be useful if there is a separate aggregate graph of the 'weekly' total number of games to show recent overall trend.

ESPN does a similar graph for basketball games and it is BY FAR the best way to determine the flow/events of a game. It could be +/- vs. time as ara as suggested or total kills vs. time with a line for each team.

Another suggestion towards this same end would be to track certain events (such as a player eliminated or lagging out, a certain player on a streak) and also plot them on the graph so you can get a feel for momentum swinging moments without actually watching the match.

I like Ara's idea. It might even be useful for team tactics and identifying what times during the game your squad has trouble with (slow starters, can't seem to finish squads, etc.).
